Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is scheduled to embark on an official trip to the United Arab Emirates on Sunday. During the visit, he will hold discussions with his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on various aspects of bilateral ties between the two countries, as stated by the Foreign Office (FO) in a recent statement.
The agenda of their meeting includes a wide range of topics concerning the strong relationship between the two brotherly nations. Additionally, Bilawal will attend the unveiling of the wax figure of his late mother, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, at the Madame Tussauds museum, adding a touch of significance to his visit.
Apart from diplomatic discussions and engagements, Bilawal will also extend his condolences to the UAE leadership on the passing of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan’s brother, Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, who recently passed away.
It’s noteworthy that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had also visited the UAE a day ago to express his condolences on Sheikh Saeed’s demise, and Bilawal expressed his deep sadness over the loss in a tweet.
The FO statement emphasised that Bilawal’s visit reflects the robust engagement and strong ties between Pakistan and the UAE, focusing on fostering a mutually beneficial economic partnership.
In summary, this upcoming visit underscores the commitment of both nations to strengthen fraternal bonds and deepen their cooperative efforts for the betterment of their respective countries.
